Kursbeschreibung

This program is perfect for those who want to have the whole morning and the early afternoon to explore Sicily and have time for trips and visits or the beach during the daytime. And taking advantage of 2-hour lessons per day with an experienced professional Italian teacher in his own home, before having dinner with the whole family!

The Home Tuition programme is a new concept of a language study stay, different from enrolling in a language course in a school. Home-Tuition at your teacher's home introduces a very strong element of full immersion in the local reality and family life that will give you an unforgettable experience in the home of an Italian family!

You will be housed in an independent cottage in the garden 10 steps from their home. We will be happy to accommodate you alone or as a couple in an independent mini-apartment (approx. 50 square meters) including a bathroom and kitchen, in the middle of the beautiful garden surrounding the house.

Advice and suggestions:

The house is in the country and therefore a bit far from everything, and the structure and philosophy of staying with the family is to have free time in the mornings and early afternoons to do excursions, visits or just relax by the sea and then, in the late afternoons, have your private lessons.

Our advice is to rent a car at the airport so that you can be totally independent during your stay, considering that the house is in the countryside, especially if you also want to do some sightseeing and visit some of Sicily's historical or natural treasures. On request, we can organise a taxi transfer from the airport to our house and you can hire a car in Taormina or Giardini later if and when you want to go somewhere.

Lage der Schule

Our school is only 350 meters away from the largest Central Park of Catania and its historical City Center. The school is located on the 2nd floor of a modern building and has been recently refurbished and is composed by a large Reception Area, 6 classrooms, a large floor terrace, a Director's Office, a Staff Office, and a Teachers Office.

TEAM LINGUE – INTERNATIONAL HOUSE was founded in 1997. Nowadays TEAM LINGUE International House is a landmark in language training not only in Catania but throughout Sicily. The Courses, the Certifications and the Teacher Training Department are the three pillars on which TEAM LINGUE IH has built more than twenty years of activity marked by seriousness, continuous growth, and enthusiasm.

TEAM LINGUE – INTERNATIONAL HOUSE promotes excellence in language teaching through the continuous professional development of staff and the sharing of the values that distinguish its work. Its purpose is to facilitate the achievement of students' goals.

"The course was fun and full of activities"

I had a one-week-course in this school, and was very happy with it. I had four lessons with two other students, which was great, because we had a lot of chances to speak and do all the exercises our teacher Roberta had prepared for us. The lessons were prepared perfectly, enjoyable, fun, so many activities. After only one day, I felt much more confident in speaking. It was exactly what I like when learning Italian. The school was situated very near the centre, near a great bar with amazing coffee, cannolli and also pasta and arancini for very reasonable prices. The school is modern, with nice equipment, a huge terrace with a view of Etna and a lot of sun :). We even had a few lessons there. We played games, learnt a lot of new vocabulary and practised speaking a lot. The only negative for me was, that I had paid an intensive course on a certain level, but there wasn't a class of that level, and so I did not learn many NEW things, but practised the things I already knew really well. Instead of 6 classes a day, I had four and one private lesson. I would appreciate the six lessons I had wanted more. Anyway, I recommend this school, because I enjoyed it and my classmates were friendly and wonderful as well.
