ENGLISH CAMP FOR TEENAGERS 15 -18 YEARS OLD

This is a fantastic all-inclusive package for teenagers to learn English and to have fun in the sun too!
Students stay for a minimum two-week period at the campus on a full-board basis. It is a great opportunity for young people to make new friends, develop excellent learning skills and to exchange information about other countries using a common language of communication.
Students attend 20 lessons of 50 minutes of English each week. Lessons are in mixed- nationality groups of maximum 15 students but usually less than 15. After breakfast, students go to class which starts at 9 am in the morning and there are 4 lessons a day till 1pm. There are 2 breaks of 15-20 minutes. The emphasis is on conversational English to develop communication skills even during the breaks.
Teenagers 15+ have also the possibility to book 20 IELTS exam preparation lessons per week instead of General English.
We have also developed and created unforgettable activity program with excursions. Students will have the time of their lives with us! Since the language of the school is English, all our fantastic activities are conducted in English too, so learning goes on both in the classroom and outside with fantastic wide range of unforgettable free activities or performances.

DAY CAMP
For children who do not stay at the student accommodation camp but in other hotels with their parents, we offer the possibility to join one of our summer day camps .This includes English lessons in the morning and for activities in the afternoon. Teenagers can join in some of our evening activities, too. Children receive a hot lunch from Monday to Friday with children from ESSC School at each campus. They may also have the evening meal, for an extra cost. Teenagers can also join our weekend excursions (pack lunch is not provided for this option).

Lage der Sprachschule

Über die Schule

Die English Sunny School of Cyprus wurde im Jahr 2000 gegründet und war die erste internationale Sommerakademie in Zypern. Unsere Schule bietet internationalen Schülern in Zypern seit 17 Jahren einen großartigen Englischunterricht an. Darüber hinaus ist die English Sunny School of Cyprus eine internationale Abteilung für ausländische Schüler des Xenia Tsolaki Metaxa Private Institute, die von der Cypriot Tourism Organisation anerkannt und von der ELSAC Association akkreditiert ist.
Alle englischsprachigen Muttersprachler sind voll qualifiziert und haben viel Erfahrung im Unterrichten von Kursen mit gemischter Nationalität. Sie sind in der Lage, das interkulturelle Potenzial ihrer Schüler voll auszuschöpfen und fördern die Zusammenarbeit und Kommunikation. Die Nationalitäten werden gemischt, so dass die Interaktion im Unterricht immer auf Englisch erfolgt. Die Idee der Schule basiert auf dem Konzept, dass der Unterricht einfach Spaß machen und interessant sein kann, während er dynamisch und lehrreich ist.

Ort

Seit 2015 haben wir das Vergnügen, auf unserem neuen Schulgelände Unterricht zu geben. Die Schule ist maximal 15 Minuten zu Fuß von der Studentenunterkunft entfernt. Teenager gehen gemeinsam zur Schule, aber junge Schüler werden mit dem Transport versorgt. Neben dem Schulgelände gibt es einen Laden mit Snacks. Der Strand ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt.

Klassenzimmer

Die Klassenzimmer sind alle klimatisiert und haben Zugang zu WLAN, wenn der Unterricht die Nutzung des Internets und die Erstellung von Projekten beinhaltet. Die Studenten werden oft gebeten, ihre eigenen Projekte und Präsentationen in Gruppen zu erstellen, um ihre Teamfähigkeit zu verbessern.
Erwachsene haben Unterricht in Gruppen von maximal 12 Schülern, junge Schüler von 6-11 Jahren haben Unterricht in Minigruppen von 4-8 Schülern. Bei Teenagern gibt es 11-15 Schüler pro Klasse.

Willkommenspaket

Die Schüler erhalten unsere Firmenhefte und Stifte für die Notizen im Unterricht und Aktivitätsblätter, die in Dateien abgelegt werden. Jeder Schüler hat somit seine eigene persönliche Aufzeichnung seines Aufenthaltes an der Schule.

Der erste Tag und der letzte Tag

Die Schüler absolvieren kurz nach ihrer Ankunft einen Einstufungstest und werden entsprechend ihrem Niveau in Klassen eingeteilt. Alle Schüler machen am Ende ihres Aufenthaltes eine Prüfung und erhalten ein Zertifikat mit ihrem Bildungsgrad.

Zeitplan

Vormittagsunterricht für Jugendliche, Jugendliche und Erwachsene: 20 Lektionen pro Woche à 50 Minuten (nicht 45 wie viele andere Schulen, so dass die Schüler 100 Minuten mehr pro Woche haben!).
Von 9:00 Uhr bis 12:50 Uhr mit 2 Pausen.

Lage der Schule

Die Unterkünfte für Studenten befinden sich nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt, so dass die Studenten in der Nähe des Meeres zum Schwimmen, für Strandaktivitäten und das Wassersportzentrum sind. Der Ort ist ein familiengeführtes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal, das nach den Standards eines typisch britischen Internats ausgestattet ist. In der Nähe des Hotels gibt es eine Vielzahl von Geschäften, Cafés, Bars und Restaurants sowie die beliebten Eisdielen und Tiefkühljoghurtläden. Dieser Ort liegt auch an der Hauptbuslinie zur Altstadt und zum Einkaufszentrum. In der Nähe gibt es eine schöne Fußgängerpromenade und einen Fahrradweg, die den ganzen Weg entlang des Meeres bis zum Yachthafen führen. Es ist ein fantastischer Ort, um einen langen Spaziergang entlang der Küste zu machen und unvergessliche Fotos zu machen.

THE ESSC CAMPUS

The ESSC campus is located in the Moniatis Hotel,

which is situated in a beautiful area of Limassol, close to the Yermasoyia Dam and river. It is in a quiet, residential area of Yermasoyia with a wide variety of amenities nearby – local supermarket, bakery, restaurants, coffee shop, pharmacy and mini football fields. It is a family owned and run hotel and the staff are intent on providing the best service that this 3 star accommodation can offer.

ROOMS

The rooms are twin and triple with comfortable extra beds. In the hotel, there are 4 family rooms which have one bedroom, a living room, one bathroom and 2 toilets so they can accommodate up to 4 students. All rooms have air-conditioning and a balcony. The hotel has two floors with access between floors by stairs or lift. Single rooms are available on request for an extra charge.

PUBLIC AREAS

The reception area is staffed 24/7 and there is a snack bar which serves drink and snacks throughout the day. Outside, there is the hotel swimming pool and a small paddling pool for young children. Around the pool there is an area for sun bathing and a large green area for games and relaxing.

MEALS

Students eat their breakfast and evening meal at the hotel. They have a hot lunch at the school from Monday to Friday, after classes and before the start of the afternoon activities. During the excursions, they will be provided with a packed lunch and on Sunday lunch will be served at the hotel.

For breakfast there is a typical English buffet with bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, bread, yogurt, butter, marmalade, halloumi, cheese, ham and turkey as well as other hot and cold food and drinks.

Supper is a buffet service and there is a wide variety of international and local dishes. There are salads, 3 main courses (meat and fish) with 3 accompanying dishes and a sweet dessert or fresh fruits.

Special diets can be catered for by requesting at the time of booking and also by contacting our staff in resort.
