Die LSI Zürich liegt im Trendviertel Seefeld, nur 5 Gehminuten vom See und der Altstadt entfernt. Aufgrund ihrer zentralen Lage bietet sie einen optimalen Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und Entdeckungstouren in diese facettenreiche und äußerst interessante Stadt. Die Schule selbst befindet sich in einem alten, schön renovierten dreistöckigen Gebäude. Hier unterrichten ausschließlich erfahrene und gut ausgebildete Lehrer mit Hochschulabschluss. Unsere Deutschkurse (die einzige im Rahmen unserer Intensivkurse angebotene Sprache) sind so aufgebaut, dass die Schüler ihre Sprachkenntnisse in allen Bereichen verbessern und in die Praxis umsetzen können (Hören und Verstehen, Sprechen, Lesen und Schreiben). Das Schulgebäude der LSI Zürich verfügt über neun großzügige, helle und modern ausgestattete Unterrichtsräume, einen Informatikraum mit kostenlosem Internetzugang und einen Aufenthaltsraum. In einem Pausenraum gibt es Café und Wasser. Außerdem liegen hier die Tagespresse und verschiedene Besucherinformationen des Schweizer Tourismusbüros zu aktuellen Veranstaltungen, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflugszielen aus. Dank eines umfassenden, von unserer Schule organisierten Veranstaltungsprogramms können unsere Schüler die Stadt Zürich in all ihren Facetten kennenlernen. Zu den Veranstaltungen zählen Winteraktivitäten wie Skifahren, Snowboarden und Schlittschuhlaufen oder Sommeraktivitäten wie Radfahren, Schwimmen und Segeln. Außerdem werden Museumsbesuche und Stadterkundungstouren angeboten.

Das ALPADIA Zug Course Center befindet sich im prestigeträchtigen St. Michael College, weniger als fünf Minuten vom Stadtzentrum und vom See entfernt. Es bietet Einrichtungen und Ausrüstung von höchster Qualität für einen Sprachaufenthalt, einschließlich heller Klassenzimmer, ein geräumiges und weitläufiges Schulungszimmer, komfortable Schlafzimmer, ein Spielebereich und kostenfreier Internetzugang. Für Entspannung und Spaß sorgen die Studentenlounges mit Billard- und Fußballtischen, Videospielen und Flipperautomaten, TV und DVD-Playern. Auf dem Campus, der sich über zwei Hektar erstreckt, befindet sich auch ein großer Sportkomplex mit Fußballplatz, Basketball-, Handball- und Volleyballplätzen, Tischtennisplatten, einer Eislaufbahn und einer Turnhalle.
In our newest friLingue camp you will learn English, French or German in small groups of 6 participants. During 15 hours per week, we study French, English or German. In the afternoon, we explore the surroundings together, go on an action-packed excursion or organise exciting workshops - and there's no shortage of fun! After an intensive long day, we have a delicious homemade dinner from our typical friLingue cuisine. Then we continue with the evening programme, where we really go all out again. Braunwald - the sunny terrace of the Glarnerland - ideal for learning French, German or English. The camp in Braunwald takes place in our Adrenalin Backpacker Hostel. Here we have plenty of space: three large terraces, single, double, 4-bed, 6-bed and multi-bed rooms and a bar with syrup and other non-alcoholic delicacies! There's also a table football table and a pool table. Braunwald is car-free and lies on a sunny terrace high above the sea of fog. The resort can be reached by car from Zurich in just over an hour. Or you can take the accompanied train from Zurich HB, leaving on Sunday afternoon.
Creative language summer camp with friLingue Once again we invite you to participate in the summer edition of this camp, where immersion in languages passes through the prism of the practices of the arts, theatre, and video. How does this camp, where language learning combines with the practice of the arts, theatre and video, work? Take the time to exchange ideas, imagine and build an artistic project that organises the week’s schedule. Help yourself to explore diverse cognitive fields (material culture, visual memory, mnemonic) to exercise curiosity and forge a culture of your own. Imagination and creativity are not confined only to the classroom; they are open work languages through authentic materials and expressive and creative practices. Navigate your way through the different stages of making a short film or staging a play. Kick-start and develop a portfolio, know how to express your ideas in the target language to evolve an art project collectively. There will also be a collaborative exhibition of the various productions (performances, films, paintings, photos etc.) from the week that will all be centred around the same theme. We find that school education is based on a division into disciplines and often content that’s too theoretical is counterproductive for both learners and teachers. We believe that learning and remembering is about connecting, creating and making things work. Associating practices of arts and languages allows us to connect knowledge and know-how, to make them resonate to feed a contextualised learning process. Some examples: We’ll make bound notebooks according to a procedure that’s explained and shown in the target language using different available materials, These notebooks will then serve as a basis for gathering linguistic knowledge acquired throughout the process. We’ll also create an exhibition of paintings or silver prints inspired by a theme first studied in its linguistic aspect (themes such as "movement", "images", "monsters" etc.). Those interested in video will make a short film of fiction that taps into the life of the camp, the funny moments and the specific situations. All this work (brainstorming, scriptwriting, dialogues, stage play, staging, editing) is obviously an opportunity to learn the language in action. The short film can then be used as a support for a multimedia language course rooted in practice. "Learning by doing" is our motto! The language courses (English, French & German) and activities are transversal; they connect and answer each other. It is by multiplying the resonances within projects that are always based on the desires of students that we think to make them learn, to consolidate their learning and to teach them to understand.
